Wordsmith– I also write books
It’s almost October, and Amira Press is having a multi-event SPOOKATHON. One of the prizes I’m giving away is for young adult readers. If you have a teen or know of one who might enjoy the following, please email me at rowland.kathleen.p@gmail.com which I’m reserving just for the purpose of the SPOOKATHON. Here’s the prize: A print copy of the young adult anthology, ANOTHER REALM, a locker-mirror combo pack, Burt’s Bees Peppermint shower soap “a farmer’s friend”, Burt’s Bees Aloe & Buttermilk body lotion, a sewing kit (in my story, THE SORCERY FACTOR, Shade Ann sews up Roryk’s wound with a hotel sewing kit) and a small collection of chocolates. Email me from now until October 22nd if you know either a boy or girl who’d enjoy this prize. On Wednesday, October 22nd, when this particular drawing takes place, I will draw a name and then let all who entered know who won.

Kathleen, I can see why you’re letting people know early about the prize with this book. Kids wouldn’t go to the adult sites where the SPOOKATHON takes place.
Janessa, this collection of tales is for the teen scene. What stories have in common is genuine mysteries. My story is full of teen angst– my sorcerer in the making, nerdy Shade Ann Swift, is afraid her friends will learn of her secret crush. Teen humiliations are worse when made public. She hopes that doesn’t happen when she requires his fog-weaving help to help Festival Island from the invading Gargs.
Kathleen, I saw the the reading warehouse for schools, recommends ANOTHER REALM.
Didn’t know that, Janessa, but their push on the book tickles me. I just took a peek, and it’s there– how nice since Opra’s picks are featured there, also.
