People craft– getting along with yourself

The Season-for-overeating is almost upon us.  The average weight gain per person is eight pounds between Halloween and New Years.  Don’t let that happen this year.  It’s also possible to lose the same amount of pounds and still enjoy festivities.  Sometimes the time we are experiencing feels like an unmovable wall.   These are times where we have no control, and this is when we can sit back and do nothing, letting nature take its course.  There’s a right time for everything.

Time out! There are some areas where we do have control.  We have minds of our own, and we don’t have to let the holidays sweep us into over-indulgence. Choosing healthy food and eating within portional limits is something we can do.    Love and respect thyself!  We can’t love others without having a genuine love of ourselves.

If we want the smell and flavor of apple pie, we can zap sugar free cinnamon applesauce in the microwave and squirt it with fat free Redi-whip. We can still have pleasant thoughts of our grandmothers.

Janessa, buy a can of pumpkin but not the mix which contains sugar. Scoop out about 1/2 cup pumpkin and swirl it into a bowl with sugar free vanilla pudding. Shake on pumpkin pie spice. The fat free low sugar Redi-whip is optional!

I want to fit into a darling little black dress I bought over the weekend. It’s a bit tight, and this makes it a good motivator to watch portions.
