Make handicrafts– for fun

You’ve probably noticed these cute “Liz” ballet flats from SwitchFlops.  I’ve seen them in black, bronze, and silver. There are less expensive knock-off brands available as well, but the fun part is making the little do-dads yourself to replace the more expensive snap on designs that are sold separately at $12 each.  A glue gun is the way to go.  If you pull something off, you’ll glue something else in the same place covering up any residue of glue.  Go gawdy.

They are. As you know I have an artificial right foot but have various heel height prostheses. So, I can wear just about anything. The ballet flats are a classic fashion statement.

Very cute, Reba. This morning I’m driving up to a craft store to buy fake jewels and more glue for my gun. I’m thinking a good way to apply jewels is to first glue them to stiff fabric or maybe leather and then glue that to the shoes.
