People craft– getting along with yourself

Be a sleeping beauty!  There’s nothing like adequate sleep to feel good and get gorgeous, so don’t feel guilty about it!  Sleeping Beauty by Rickydavid Getting enough shuteye is one of the Seven Secrets in the little gold suitcase in GOLD STANDARD OF THIN, to be released in January 2010.  Trainer John Spencer Ellis, hired by The Real Housewives of Orange County, agrees with us.  Ellis says, “No matter how hard you work at looking good, you won’t get results unless you make time for quality sleep.”

Yup, those are the first signs, Mary Alice. If a sleep-deprived person doesn’t sleep after the initial signs, a person may start to experience apathy, slowed speech and flattened emotional responses, impaired memory and an inability to be imaginative or multitask. As a person gets to the point of falling asleep, he or she will fall into micro sleeps(5-10 seconds) that cause lapses in attention, nod off while doing an activity like driving or reading and then finally experience hypnagogic hallucinations, the beginning of REM sleep.

Mary Alice, that’s realistic but also terrible. When Soldiers don’t get enough sleep, performance suffers and everyone is put at risk.

Correct, Janessa! When Soldiers don’t get enough sleep, the ability to judge the impact that sleep deprivation has on their abilities is diminished and performance decreases. Sleep deprivations means they can fall asleep at the wheel causing a vehicle to roll over. For the medical team, they can administer the wrong medicine at the wrong dosage.

There’s probably increased risk to recognize a threat or the sleep-deprived soldier might react too slowly to it.

Rob told me about a sleepy marine who transposed digits while entering coordinates into a fire-control system. So, I’d say sleep deprivation goes deeper than skin deep. The Orange County Housewives don’t have as much to worry about.
