Eat– for Good Health

Oil and vinegar are so good together. Give yourself a little gift this season, a pair of cruets.   We know the value of olive oil.  Vinegar, just the ordinary, all-natural stuff that contains 5% acidity, helps people lose weight according to research conducted by Carol Johnston, PhD, at the University of Arizona.  Dr. Johnston suggests getting into the habit of dressing salads with vinegar (and oil to make it palatable) at lunch and again at dinner.  Aim for three tablespoons of vinegar a day, she says, and your body will turn into a fat burning machine.  Another study from Sweden reveals that when we consume extra vinegar, our body produces less insulin.  Insulin makes it very hard for us to burn fat.  High insulin levels makes our body store fat.
