Make handicrafts– for fun

Websites that feature linens for sale teach us how to fold napkins into pretty creations for free.  This demo for the pyramid is from BRIGHT Linens on a wholesale website, http://www.wholesale-table-linens.com/napkin-folding.html.   On Sundays we have our dinner at noon after church.  Even though we have week day dinners at our dining room table as well, I make the table more special on Sunday with cloth napkins and a bouquet of fresh flowers. Looking at the last step below,

Turn the napkin over again, this time keeping the open end facing towards you.
Fold the napkin along the center seam and you have a neat, sturdy pyramid. If your napkin won’t stand neatly then you may need a little starch.

I refuse to try. Hey, wanted to ask you something about the radio interview, Kathleen. At the end, the hostess said she had some jeans in her closet that she hadn’t given away because they were way too small. You said to get them out, hand them up where she could see them, and then get her diet party started.

That’s right, Reba. I did just that a year ago when Janice and I were frustrated and were determined. I am wearing those size 8 old jeans that I did not throw away. The funny thing is that they came back in style– the skinny jeans that show every bulge!

The radio hostess was not convinced that she could accomplish it. Anyone can if they want to. Losing excess fat is a healing process. Being fat is actually a handicap.

Being overweight does not feel good. For me, since I’m missing a foot due to an accident, I can’t imagine how hard it would be if I were twenty pounds overweight.

Losing weight is a quest. In the beginning (the first three weeks) the body is adjusting to a little less food. Some days are failures, and then a person fails less. For sure by the end of a month, the body has adjusted and is not hungry. This happens because of Secret Number Five in the little gold suitcase. Keep to a rigid schedule for eating and drinking water. Carve meal and snack times in stone.

Kathleen, this secret is unique and sets your book apart from say, Weight Watchers. WW says it doesn’t matter when you eat, it’s the daily calories that count.

Weight Watchers is correct that it is the daily calories that count. But, carving meal times and the size of them in stone will keep a person from being hungry. That’s why Secret Number Five is valuable. It’s wonderful to know you are not going to be hungry and can make it down to your true goal weight. And stay there in those skinny ass genes.
