People craft– getting along with yourself

Water makes you healthy.  Glass of Water by gfrphoto Follow the lead of Golden Super-losers and drink lots of water.  It will keep you trim and so much more:

Water makes your skin glow– it increases blood flow to the skin, giving you a rosier glow, says a University of Missouri study.

Water prevents colds– Japanese scientists found that people who gargled every day with water had fewer colds than those who gargled with mouthwash or didn’t gargle at all.

Water fights kidney stones– it helps dilute and flush away substances that form stones.  Aim for 12 glasses a day, suggests the American National Kidney Foundation.

Water eases migraines– drinking 6 to 8 glasses is linked to a reduction in the intensity and duration of migraines, say Dutch researchers.

  1. I’ve done that, Reba– guess we were thirsty, and a cup of coffee wasn’t the same as water for our bodies. Water comprises 75% of our body and 85% of our brain. As we age we tend to dry out – and if we don’t want to be hung out to dry, we must replenish our body’s need for water by drinking at least one litre of water per day. However, some researchers such as, Fereydoon Batamanghelidj, M.D, who has researched hydration for several decades, state that we need to drink ½ of our (Imperial) body weight in ounces of pure water every day. (If you weigh 150 lbs you should be drinking 75 ounces of water.) Our body fluids – blood, lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, urine, synovial fluid (in joints), extracellular fluid, tears are all evidence of the importance of water in our bodies.

Kathleen, I see that Amazon Books put up their search inside feature for GOLD STANDARD OF THIN. Fun seeing the little gold suitcase on your back cover. I have your eBook version.
