Places– of Charm

Son Ted who is a Registered Nurse has a hobby in photography, something he started in a serious way about six months ago.    He works three 12-hour shifts at a hospital in Los Angeles.  They are long days if a commute is on top of them.  This and the fact that he has friends in the artist community drove him to move back to the heart of the city.  Ted’s new loft space is below, and he will move into it next month.  The surrounding neighborhood is the fabric district, very appealing to artists, architects, and entrepreneurs.  Loft living has ebbed, and real people have settled in.  Ted loves the open walls, a canvas for his photos.  Above and behind the kitchen is raised platform with steps, the bedroom.  Ted’s photo is in the post under this one.

I hope you can see the photos– I can but some have said they can’t.  My apologies if you can’t see them.

He did a few months of pondering. Last summer Ted moved out of L.A. down to Irvine. He has been living at Las Palmas which has all kinds of amenities– pool, fitness center, club house, and luxurious grounds. But, driving home after working, he had to keep the windows of his car open to keep from falling asleep.

Ted and Johnny (two sons who are RNs) appreciate the appreciative notes and good comments from patients and staff. As young boys, they played nicely with others, ha ha.

They worked at the same hospital a few years back, before Johnny, Jan and the kids moved to New York. They are moving back, right?

Yessiree! Grandma can’t wait. I will fly in late May to JFK, and the next day fly home with D’mitri and Roxy while Johnny and Jan drive a U-haul with their ratty old Honda towed behind. Jan will graduate from Hoffstra Law School in May! They made it! Talk about living on a shoe string.

Totally single. Go for it, Kiwana. One way is to comment on his flickr photos at iteddy1 or stalk him after he moves. Hold a camera!
