Places– of charm

Does this stately Victorian look familiar?  It was featured in opening credits of the TV series, “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.”   Some of the rooms were recreated as sets.  The actual house is located in Montecito, Santa Barbara County, and is for sale. L.A. Times writer Frank Nelson describes this “home of the week” as a haunting beauty.  Photos are courtesy of Joda.  The home is close to the ocean.  Butterfly Beach and the Four Seasons Biltmore is within walking distance.

Janessa, the asking price is $4.2 million. As you said, Mary Alice, it is spacious– 4,900 square feet on a third acre. The backyard has mature trees. The balcony wraps around the master bedroom and sitting room.
