Eat– for Good Health

Did you know you can stuff yourself and lose weight?  The GOLD STANDARD OF THIN weight loss plan contains anti-hunger breakthroughs that keep you full while you get slim.  It’s not hard.  Co-author daughter Janice and I stumbled on seven secrets that make staying on a the three meals and two snacks easy.  Eating specific caloric amounts at specific times a day is secret number five.  All meals contain 25% protein which does two things besides providing your body with adequate amino acids.  It leads to higher levels of PYY, the body’s primary fullness hormone.  Also, amino acids trigger fat burning and keep metabolism higher.  Here is a recipe for 4-ounces of baked salmon.  Serve with one cup whole-wheat pasta with olive oil butter spray and 1 cup steamed squarsh with 1 T. Parmesan.

Salmon fillets

Fat-free mayonnaise

Mrs Dash seasonings

Sliced raw mushrooms

Place skin side down on a glass baking dish. Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise; cover entire top of fish. Sprinkle liberally with seasonings and place mushrooms on top.   See photo.  Wrap with tin foil, adding celery and other veggies if you are placing on the grill. Otherwise,  bake at 350 degrees about 25 to 30 minutes, uncovered. Place under broiler until top turns brown.

    Kathleen, hope you don’t mind that I gave your book to my mom. I mean instead of letting her buy it. She has been on the plan for two weeks and has lost eight pounds.
