Eat– for Good Health

Salad is my favorite lunch in the summer.  The variety is endless– whatever fruit and vegetables are in season.  I often add 1/2 cup cottage cheese to bring the calorie total to 250.

  1. If you want to lose weight, the way to do it is with mini-meals spaced throughout the day– breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks of 150 each. After swimming laps, I usually have a protein shake. People lose weight fastest when they work out a little more and eat a little less but don’t starve.

With a big wonderful salad, I can actually pig out. And stay skinny!! Or get skinny as the case may be.

When I’m really starving, a salad is the way to go. That’s because it takes time to eat it, and by that time, my body knows I ate something.

Sometimes a snack (that’s 150-worth of calories) of chicken breast and honey mustard is filling also. Or, try the lower calorie barbeque sauce. Protein keeps us feeling full.
