Wordsmith– I also write books

With a gothic romance the place of residence often holds haunting memories or ghost sightings.  This is the case with my work-in-progress, THIRD COUSINS, ONCE REMOVED.   The heroine’s hundred-year-old lodge tumbles in Chapter Three due to an earthquake, and as it’s restored back to its orginal state, the aggitated ghost is up for a new challenge.  Because a quality editor wants the author to keep the setting straight, I keep photos and a “roadmap” handy when I write.

Hadn’t really thought about how important it is to keep track, but as a reader, I would become annoyed with inconsistencies.

Thanks, Mary Alice and Reba– I took a year and a half off to write GOLD STANDARD OF THIN with daughter Janice, but now I’m back!
