Places– of Charm

Isn’t it exciting this library (converted from an abandoned Walmart) is packed with people even teens? The new library in McAllen, Texas is the largest single-story library in the country—and the winner of the International Interior Design Association’s 2012 Library Interior Design Competition. The library has a striking entrance, cheerful orange highlights, hip ceiling elements, and a special lounge for teens.  It’s considered a cool place to hang out.  Kids can download eBooks for free, and there are free movies on Saturday evenings.
