What’s missing for salmon on a plate? Honey mustard sauce with mint as the secret ingredient! Mustard and honey are the main ingredients.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup Dijon mustard, 2 T. whole grain mustard, 3 T. honey, 2 T. prepared horseradish, drained, 2 T. chopped fresh mint leaves, salt and pepper, 2 lbs fillet salmon, skin on, 2 canola oil, 1 bunch watercress, coarsely chopped, 1 small red onion finely chopped.
Directions: whisk mustards, honey, horseradish and mint together. Let sit for 15 minutes before using.
Brush the salmon with oil, add salt and pepper. Place on the grill and cook.
While salmon is cooking, place watercress and onion in a medium bowl. Add vinegar and oil to combine.
Thanks, Kathleen. I usually try to make my own honey-mustard sauce. I’m glad to have your recipe.
I’m sure yours is just fine. My Aunt Molly from Boston gave me this particular recipe. She doesn’t mind sharing.
I have an aunt who’s a great cook but doesn’t share anything! Her recipes are very heavy, and I don’t want them anyway!
Ha! Keep asking for them anyway. It will make her feel important. “Please, please, can you share your fudge recipe?”
